Match Report - 27 Oct 2012, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor drew with Perthshire

The frost covered pitch at DISC cleared in time to allow this league game to go ahead. After a picture at Yorke's pie pod for our match sponsors and a newly devised, more rigorous warm-up Harris were ready to make a flying start. However, after a fairly even opening spell Perthshire dominated and went 3-0 ahead. Neil Williams had to be substituted after the first two goals due to a hamstring injury. Just before half-time Greg hit a great reverse shot into the corner of the net to make it 3-1 and give Harris some hope for the second half. It looked brighter for Harris when Albert scored to make it 3-2 but Perthshire responded well to make it 4-2. Greg, back in scoring form got Harris back to 4-3 from a short corner only for Perthshire to regain their two goal lead from the penalty spot to make it 5-3. With ten minutes to go Albert rounded the keeper and hit the ball into the net to make it 5-4. In the last minute Gavin, pushed into the forwards, hit the post and the rebound fell to Ferg Wilson who played it back to Greg to drive into the corner of the net to make it 5-5.
