Match Report - 11 Oct 2015, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor lost to Falkirk
Harris nearly went behind in the first minute when an intercepted pass was picked up by a Falkirk forward who fired wide. However three minutes later Falkirk took the lead when they won the ball in the home D and set up a goal at the far post. Grant McInally then made a couple of good saves to keep the lead to one while at the other end Albert Rowling passed to Greg Whittet who had his shot well saved. Just after this the same combination produced the equaliser in the 10th minute with Albert providing the assist for Greg. Two minutes later Ferg Wilson came close to putting Harris in the lead and in the 19th minute Jack Dyer intercepted a pass and sent the ball to Pete Black but his reverse hit shot went wide. At the other end Grant made another good save but couldn't keep stop Falkirk taking the lead in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Falkirk went 3-1 ahead when a lofted hit from the left cleared the entire Harris defence to find a Falkirk forward who then set up their third goal. Harris fought back and in the 30th minute Steven Moir drove down the right, beat a defender and passed to Ferg Wilson who placed the ball in the corner of the goal.

Falkirk scored in the first minute of the second half with a deflection from a free hit and in the 44th minute things got worse for the home team when Falkirk went ahead 5-2 with a well worked counter attack goal.A good run from Steven Moir provided an opportunity for Greg while at the other end Iain Mitchell made a good save on the line from a Falkirk short corner. A great passing move between Greg and Ferg got Harris back into the game in the 47th minute with Greg providing the assist for Ferg's second of the game. Harris came close when Greg set up a chance for Gav Martin who had his shot saved but shortly after a Cameron Conway pass into the D was deflected to Greg Whittet who grabbed his second of the game to make it 5-4.Three minutes later Jack Dyer nearly equalised but his shot was well blocked. A cross from Andrew Kernohan went straight across the goal without finding a Harris forward before Harris were awarded a penalty flick when Greg Whittet was stick tackled as he went to shoot at goal. Albert Rowling converetd the penalty to level the scores with eight minutes to go. Immediately after this an aerial ball cleared the Harris defence and the Falkirk player running on to the ball collided with Grant and won a penalty which was placed high into the corner of the net. Harris pressed and missed from a short corner and at the other end Falkirk hit the post. A cross from Greg was narrowly missed by Albert sliding in at the far post and then a hit into the D found Gav whose shot hit the side net.
