Match Report - 14 Sep 2013, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor drew with Waverley
Harris did not adapt well to the sand-based pitch at Bangholm and made a lot of unforced errors with passes being intercepted and players getting caught in possession. A well taken short corner from Albert Rowling was drag flicked high into the net but this failed to settle Harris and it was Waverley who scored twice to take a 2-1 half-time lead. With downhill advantage in the second half Harris would have been looking to get back on level terms quickly but two goals in two minutes from Waverley looked to have settled the game. Harris at last responded and with 9 minutes of the second half gone Neil Martin swept in an Albert Rowling cross to make it 4-2. Two more goals for Harris in the 18th and 21st minutes had Harris level. Greg flicked over the keeper from a short corner and Albert got his second from a drag flick corner. 25 minutes into the second half and Greg scored again to put Harris into a 5-4 lead but with 5 minutes to go Waverley equalised when play continued after the ball appeared to come off the body of a Waverley forward.
