Match Report - 20 Sep 2014, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor beat CALA
In the first few minutes of the game Harris put the Cala defence under pressure. Greg Whittet had a shot saved, a ball to the far post was narrowly missed by Sam Owen-Hughes and an Albert Rowling pass to Neil Martin was deflected for Ferg Wilson to get in a shot at goal. Harris opened the scoring after 19 minutes. Albert played the ball to Neil and his cross was deflected past the keeper by Greg as he ran to the near post.

Just as in the first half Harris started brightly. Finlay Wright sent the ball to Greg and he found Neil in the D but his shot was well saved. Shortly after another through ball from Finlay found Neil who played a reverse stick pass to Greg and he sent the ball past the keeper for his second. Keeping up the pressure a Greg cutback to Albert was saved by the keeper and then Sam beat a Cala defender and sent the ball to Ferg who won a long corner. Finlay drove down the right past three defenders and passed to Greg who hit the ball over the bar. A minute later Albert hit the post from a short corner. Thirteen minutes into the second half a quick free hit from Albert found Neil on the baseline and he cut the ball back for Ferg who placed the ball into the corner of the net. Good work from Chico, Ferg and Sam set up Greg with two chances but both his shots were wide of the target. Albert then drove right and he too sent the ball wide with his shot. In the same period of pressure Sam picked up a pass from Ethan Drew and had his shot was well saved. In the 22nd minute Chico passed to Greg and he set up Albert to score and make it 4-0. Shortly after a penalty flick to Cala reduced the Harris lead to three. Harris continued to press and Greg had another two shots well saved. At the other end Ally Blair saved well from a short corner. Jimi Simpson won a short corner just before full time and Albert sent the ball high over the bar.
