Match Report - 01 Nov 2014, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor beat Highland
In the first minute Ferg Wilson drove down the right and his cross was just out of Albert Rowling's reach. Highland took the lead in the 3rd minute when a quick ball from the sideline wasn't defended well by Harris. Harris responded with a pass from Marc Callaghan to Ferg Wilson in the D but his shot was well saved. Albert Rowling found Ferg again but this time his shot was wide of the target. Neil Martin missed with a reverse stick shot before Harris equalised in the 14th minute. Neil ran along the left side baseline and his cross was deflected to Greg Whittet who fired an overhead shot past the Highland keeper. Highland regained the lead in the 21st minute but two minutes later Harris were level again. Ethan Drew picked out Greg at the top of the D and he beat two defenders before slipping the ball past the keeper. The first short corner of the game went to Highland and they used it well to regain the lead. Harris again responded quickly. From a long corner Euan Simpson hit the ball into the D and won a short corner which Albert Rowling netted to level the scores.

Harris went into the lead for the first time at the start of the second half. Finlay Wright created space for Euan Simpson to hit the ball into the D and his cross was met by Neil Martin who clipped it high into the net giving the keeper no chance. Highland equalised eight minutes later from a close range shot. Almost immediately Harris were back in front when Pete Black picked up the ball and played a reverse pass for Greg Whittet to complete his hat-trick. Harris had chances to extend their lead. Greg had a shot saved and then later shot wide after another attack. A short corner in the 28th minute was hit wide by Gavin Martin. Then Neil Martin played in Sam Owen-Hughes who shot wide. With time running out Albert sealed victory for Harris when he won a short corner and scored with his drag flick.
