Match Report - 17 Oct 2015, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor lost to Greenock
Harris almost opened the scoring in the first minute. A great passing move involving Greg Whittet, Albert Rowling an Ferg Wilson ended with Albert crossing to Gav Martin whose diving effort at the far post went jsut wide. Two minutes later Greenock went ahead from the first short corner of the match. Greenock pressed for a second goal and it came in the 11th minute. Harris got back into the game in the 20th minute when Gav Martin found Albert on the left. He drove through the middle and found Greg on the baseline and his cross was finished off by Jack Dyer. Harris were back in the game and came close in the 30th minute when Cameron Conway found Ferg Wilson but his shot went wide.
Half Time Greenock 2-1 Harris
In the 40th minute Greenock went further ahead from a penalty awarded when a clash of sticks from a ball lifted in the D by a Greenock player led to Harris being penalised. Pete Black in goal guessed correctly but the ball went under him. Worse followed for Harris when a short corner three minutes later was converted by Greenock and in the 48th minute a reverse shot high into the net made it 5-1. Harris were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute when Steven Moir provided a chance for Albert and he was fouled as he tried to score. The Greenock keeper saved well from Albert's penalty. Harris created further opportunities after this. In the 61st minute Albert provided Greg with a chance and another good passing move three minutes later came close. Two long corners and a short corner for Harris three minutes from time came to nothing while at the other end a penalty awarded against Pete in goal gave Greenock the chance to extend their lead.
