Match Report - 20 Mar 2016, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor lost to Glasgow University
Harris went through to Glasgow to play in a crucial relegation match against second from bottom Glasgow University with several regular first team players unavailable. The home side dominated possession at the start and took the lead after five minutes. By half-time GU were three ahead. Harris made a better start to the second half and after misiing a couple of opportunities it was Glasgow who increased there lead with two quick goals, one of which could have been ruled out. Harris never recovered from this and lost goals steadily with three coming in the last five minutes of play. Harris finished the game with two goalkeepers in the team but unfortunately only won was able to wear pads. Ally Blair took on the role of striker with Duncan McNicoll in goal
It was only some consolation for the players taking part to learn that they were safe from relegation as Perthshire had gone down 8-0 to Falkirk.
