Match Report - 16 Oct 2016, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor beat Glasgow University
Harris went behind after five minutes after they failed to clear a ball in their own D. Both teams missed from short corners before Grant McInroy was yellow carded when he slipped into an opponent when making a tackle. The University side missed from another short corner before Harris equalised from a corner with Euan Donohue scoring from a rebound by the keeper. Ally Blair saved well from a short corner just before half time.
Harris didn't start the second half well and Glasgow took the lead in the 43rd minute after a rebound off Ally went high to the far post and the ball was put into the net from an overhead shot. Harris equalised in the 49th minute when Euan Donohue sent Ferg Wilson clear from the 25 and he rounded the keeper before placing the ball into the corner of the goal. Two minutes later and Ferg scored his second to put Harris ahead. Pete Black sent Ferg through and he showed good control before hitting a bouncing ball past the keeper. The lead was shortlived as Glasgow almost immediately broke down the Harris right and a cross ball was deflected into the home goal. Just as the game seemed to be heading for a draw the University keeper was penalised and yellow carded and Harris awarded a short corner. Pete Black flicked the ball high into the net to give Harris all three points.
