Match Report - 30 Sep 2017, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Outdoor lost to Granite City Wanderers
Harris started brightly and took an early lead through Euan Richardson after four minutes. Duncan McNicoll produced a string of good saves to keep Harris in the lead. However Granite City pressure produced an equaliser midway through the first half. Shortly afterwards the visitors were awarded a penalty which thay converted to take the lead. With five minutes of the first half remaining Harris responded well and Steven Moir placed the ball into the corner of the goal from a Ben Graham cross.
The second half was fairly even until midway through the second half when retaliation to a bad tackle resulted in a 10 minute yellow for one Harris player followed immediately afterwards with a green card for a second player. During this period Granite City took the lead. Harris pressed for an equaliser and had plenty of possession but not enough shots or corners. There was however one clear penalty claim turned down when Steven Moir was fouled on several occasions as he attempted to shoot. Unfortunately for Harris they lost Steven for the latter part of the game when he had to go off with a broken hand.
