Match Report - 09 Dec 2017, Harris Academy FP Hockey Club 1st Team Indoor beat Granite City
In a high scoring game at the end of the day Granite City took the lead after three minutes. Two minutes later Steven Moir equalised for Harris and in the 7th minute Greg Whittet provided the assist for Gav Martin to give Harris a 2-1 lead. In the 10th minute Harris extended their lead when Alfie Ackerley won a penalty which was converted by Gav Martin. Greg Whittet made it 4-1 in the 14th minute before GC scored to make it 4-2. Two goals in the last three minutes of the the first half from Grant Mcinroy and Gav Martin gave Harris a 6-2 lead at half-time.
In the second half GC quickly scored to get back to 6-3 before Pete Black provided the assist for Steven Rae to score and give Harris back their four goal lead. A Craig Munro short corner in the 26th minute extended the Harris lead and Gav Martin grabbed his fourth goal of the game in the 31st minute to give Harris a 9-3 lead. Two goals for Greg Whittet in the 31st and 34th minutes, both from Gav Martin assists were separated by two from GC. With five minute left Harris had an 11-5 advantage but still had time for another couple of goals. Craig Munro scored from a penalty flick in the 39th minute and in the final part of the game Greg Whittet scored his fourth of the game from a Gav Martin assist.
